Sotogrande: a villa read in light, stone and water

On 20 September 2026, Wallpaper presented Villa Enso, a house by ARK Architects in La Reserva de Sotogrande. The studio is in Cádiz; Manuel Ruiz Moriche leads it. About 1,690 square metres, where white plaster and sandblasted Teruel travertine do not change as you move from one room to the next.

You do not need a plan to understand it. The house does not begin in a lobby. It begins in a courtyard, a sheet of water and light that enters where you do not expect it. The courtyards stay hidden. The pool and the reflecting basins do not decorate the garden: they order the day. Inside and outside are the same floor.

What anyone can recognise

• A courtyard and a sheet of water, instead of a hall you have to cross.
• The same stone indoors and at the edge of the pool.
• Life turned inward: privacy, without having to explain the address.

The stay, on the coast we already work

La Reserva is not a slogan. It is a stretch of Sotogrande, on the same coast as Marbella, Benahavís, Estepona and the Casares area.
